Gratitude: How often do you do it?

Often, we are very much indulged in our own problems that we forget there are also things we should be grateful for. Little things that make a big difference in our lives.

I was on a call tonight and the topic was about gratitude. At the end of the call, I found myself in tears while listening to the people sharing their stories and how grateful they are for the things that are happening in their lives. There was one lady who said that she was sitting in her family room and found herself crying with tears of joy while looking at their family picture. She was grateful and blessed to be with her kids everyday and seeing them grow.

And I started to take a look at myself. And I realized I haven't been paying attention to all the things that are happening in my life right now. That I have so much to be grateful for everyday, my circle of friends, the community I am in right now, the success I am achieving and of course my family.

We don't need to win in the lottery, or get a job promotion, or get a salary increase for us to start to be thankful and be grateful for. Small gestures, smiles or even a pat on our shoulder are those little things that make a big difference.

Make it a habit to be grateful to all the things coming your way and you will see a big transformation happening to yourself. You will start to be more optimistic and you will feel like your burdens have been uplifted.
